Editorial Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how content on UPDigital.in is produced and maintained. It applies to every guide, article and tool description on the site.
Sourcing
- Government process, fee and eligibility information is taken from the official gov.in / nic.in portal for that service.
- Every government guide links to the official portal, so the reader can verify the same facts at source.
- Where a rule differs by state, we say so instead of presenting one state as the national rule.
Writing and review
- A guide is drafted by a writer, then reviewed by the UPDigital Editorial Desk against the official source before publishing.
- Every guide shows a last updated date and the number of official sources checked.
- We avoid promising outcomes, approval times or fee amounts as guarantees, because departments change them.
Use of AI
AI may be used to draft or translate text. No page is published from AI output alone: a human editor checks the facts against the official source and edits the text before it goes live. Responsibility for published content rests with the UPDigital Editorial Team.
Updates and corrections
Guides are reviewed on a recurring schedule and whenever a reader reports a change. If you find something wrong or outdated, tell us through the contact page with the page URL — corrections are prioritised over new content.
Independence
Sponsored or affiliate content, if it ever appears, will be labelled on the page. Advertisers and clients do not get to change guide content.
