Step-by-step process

  1. Open beneficiary.nha.gov.in and log in as Beneficiary with your mobile number and OTP.
  2. Select your state and scheme, then search by Aadhaar, family ID or ration card number.
  3. Find your name in the family list and select eKYC.
  4. Complete Aadhaar OTP or face authentication and upload a live photo.
  5. Submit and wait for approval; approval is often the same day.
  6. Download the Ayushman card PDF from the portal or the Ayushman app.
  7. Before admission, confirm the hospital is empanelled on the PM-JAY hospital finder.
