Birth Certificate in Uttar Pradesh: Online Application, Documents and Status

Short answer

Births in India must be registered within 21 days with the local registrar. In Uttar Pradesh you apply online through the state e-Nagar Sewa portal (urban areas) or the CRS portal, upload proof of birth and identity, and download the certificate once the registrar approves it. Late registration beyond 21 days needs additional permission and a delay fee.

Most approved applications are issued within a few working days to about three weeks. Late registrations take longer because they need extra approval.
