Residence Certificate (Domicile) in Uttar Pradesh: Documents and Online Application

Short answer

A residence or domicile certificate proves that you have lived in Uttar Pradesh continuously, and is issued by the Tehsildar through the e-District portal. You apply online with Aadhaar, an address proof and a self-declaration; after Lekhpal verification the digitally signed certificate can be downloaded. It is required for state quota admissions, state jobs and many welfare schemes.
